Same property with different values????: RRS feed

  • Question

  • HI

    I am using MFCMAPI and Outlook Spy to look at a particular property -

    Tag num : 0x80690003

    DASL:http://schemas.microsoft.com/mapi/id/{00062002-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}/82180003

    GUID:{00062002-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}

    When I look at the value using MFCMAPI, it is set as 'respNotResponded'

    Tag: 0x80690003
    Type: PT_LONG
    DASL: http://schemas.microsoft.com/mapi/id/{00062002-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}/82180003
    Named Prop Name: id: 0x8218=33304 = PidLidResponseStatus, dispidResponseStatus
    Named Prop Guid: {00062002-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} = PSETID_Appointment

    However, Outlook Spy is reporting a value 'olResponseAccepted'.

    Any clues????

    Thanks

    Raja

  • Are you sure you are looking at the same appointment?

    Try to create a new caelndar folder and drag the appointment there to make sure that is the only item in the folder, the nlook at it using OutlookSpy and MFCMAPI.

  • So, I was looking at the series using MFCMAPI and at a particular instance using Outlook spy.

  • What is the actual value of the property (not its prop tag)?

  • The actual values are -

    using MFCMAPI - 5 ('respNotResponded')

    using Outlook Spy -- 3 (olResponseAccepted)

    PS: Here is the use case -

    I set up a recurring appointment and the invitee accepts the request for a particular occurrence. I query the value of the above said property in Outlook spy by opening the particular occurrence of the meeting and then clicking on IMessage.
