  • Hello,

If you use an Excel interop in your project, then Excel must be installed before you run your code.

  • Hi Vimal

I concur with what Andrei says.

The Office applications are licensed as end-user software. There's no way for developers to use them without they're being installed and licensed on the target machine.

Depending on what your solution is using Excel for, you may need to purchase and license a third-party component that can be re-distributed with your application, or you may need to create your own component that can do the same work. You might also look into the Excel Server services and see if those could meet your needs.
