Textbox text aligment RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, everyone. I am developing Windows Store crossword application. And I have one issue with Textbox control. I need square textbox for the letter input. But I can not center text inside textbox vertically and horizontally. I know textbox doesn't support vertical content alignment. How I can achieve the goal? Maybe anyone has ideas.

Answers

  • Hi,

VerticalContentAlignment don't affect all the controls, the properties only affect the control whose template uses these two properties as parameter.

    Here is the reference:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/windows.ui.xaml.controls.control.horizontalcontentalignment.aspx

You can set the padding property or you can use RichEditBox instead of TextBox.

    Best Wishes!
