  • Hi Daniel Bonomo

According to your description, could you please share us when this issue occurs? When open your VS or when you open windows in VS?

You could open your VS in safe mode (Devenv.exe /SafeMode). which could prevent all third-party VSPackages from loading when Visual Studio starts, thus ensuring stable execution.

The following thread may be helpful for you though the similar issue happened in VS2015 update1. Through the following thread you could try some steps from Bluurocks’s reply and Tom Clelford’s reply to fix your issue:

    1). Run: devenv /clearcache devenv /updateconfiguration

    2). Both delete everything in:

    C:\Users\<your users name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\12.0

    C:\Users\<your users name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\VisualStudio\12.0

  • Hi Daniel Bonomo,

Do you have tried above troubleshooting steps that Oscarw Wu provided? Please tell us the troubleshoot result.

Since you have reinstalled your Visual Studio 2013 and the problem still exist, please use http://aka.ms/vscollect  to gather the VS and .Net Frameowrk installation logs. After using it, you will find vslogs.cab from %temp% folder. Please upload the file to Onedrive and share the link here.

    Best Regards,
    Weiwei
