Is it possible to access custom usb devices via PInovke in Windows store apps RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm going to work on a Windows store app that requires user athentication via a usb finger print device which is connected to the tablet(Surface Pro). I have the APIs to drive and access the device, they are Win32 APIs.

I'm not sure if PInvoke is an option here since there maybe some limitation for Windows Store App to access usb devices.

Is it possible to access this USB finger print device and call the APIs with PInvoke in my app? if it's not, is there any work-around?

    Any advice will be appreciated.
