Queue to Queue Integration with MQ Series RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a situation where I have two different organizations that need to exchange data already placed in a queue, one organization utilizes MSMQ (source) and the other utilizes IBM MQ (target).  Since the messages are already in an MSMQ queue, can this be configured to automatically route to a MQ Queue, and ensure the message is delivered.   Are there any queue depth / message size limitations?  I need to ensure that if the target queue environment is down, the messages are queued up on the source side.  Can this be done without any custom code (outside of a possible biztalk project).  Is this possible without Biztalk (ie, MSMQ + standalone MQ Adapter)?

    Thanks

  • Hi

I once had a need like that. Host Integration Server 2000 (yes, that is what I used :-) ) had a MSMQ <=> MQSeries bridge, which does exactly that - bridging between the two mq types.

I suppose the HIS 2009 also has it... not sure, though...
