Doubleclick handler and Microsoft Power Query for Excel RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

we have an Excel shared Addin written in C# which adds a double click handler.

On a Client side Microsoft Power Query for Excel is also installed.

With Version  2.15.3722.242 our  double click handler is exceuted as it should.

If Microsoft Power Query for Excel  2.17.3850.242 is installed and active it Excel behaves as no double click handler had been installed.

If Microsoft Power Query for Excel  2.17.3850.242 is deactivated then double click works as expected.

Is there something we can do, so that our double click handler also works with Microsoft Power Query for Excel  2.17.3850.242  ?

  • Hi Hendrik Schmieder,

Did you use the Windows hook to listen the mouse double-click event? To investigate this issue, it may require some deeper understanding about how the Power Query for Excel was designed to handle the mouse click event. I will ask some other engineers to look into this issue, but it will take some time, thanks for your patience.

  • We use the SheetBeforeDoubleClick event of Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Application.
