  • Microsoft always recommend to install latest cumulative update on your BizTalk environment.

Each cumulative update includes new updates as well as all of the updates included in the previous cumulative updates. CU also usually contains some other fixes that improve the product.

But you should not directly install the cumulative update on your Production environment. It is always recommended to test hotfixes on your test or pre-production environment before you deploy them in a production environment.

You can get the latest hotfixes at Service Pack and cumulative update list for BizTalk Server

  • The latest CU for BizTalk 2013 is CU4 - https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/kb/3152055. It is recommended to be on the latest CU.

You can launch appwiz.cpl from Start->Run.

Go to View Installed Updates Link in the left pane. In the Search box on top left, type BizTalk - it will show the list of CUs you have (if any).
