Volume Activation and System Time RRS feed

  • Question

  • This is a question about WES 7 licensing. Currently we manufacture single board computers that does not have CMOS backup, due to unavailability of high temp batteries. That means, when the system is turned off, you lose the date/time. I would like to know how it will impact the volume activation. To make the question more clear, if date gets reset to an older date than the date when it was activated, will the activation become void.

    Thanks,

    Boby

  • If the sysem is already activated changing the time back will not affect its activation state.
