    i want my clint no change ip adress in windows xp.how is possible

  • You would need to set a static IP address.  You can do this in the network control panel Right click the network adapter and select properties.  select IPv4 and click properties.

  • Dusty Harper is right, but make sure you must static ip in server class range.

  • You can configure your network adapter and set a static IP address for your Client machine, however you will need to make sure that you follow the same network your DHCP is configured for, because if the IP address on the client machine isnt in the same network, your client machine will not be able to communicate with neither the server nor the other machines in the network.

     

    You can set a static IP address through this method:

    1) Go to My Network Places
    2) View Network Connections.
    3) Right click on your network adapter.
    4) Select Properties.
    5) Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click on Properties.
    6) Click on Use the following IP address.
    7) Provide IP address, Subnet mask, Default gateway.
    8) Click on OK.

    Done!
