Non-rectangular buttons? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is it possible to create buttons or checkboxes that do not have a rectangular clickable area?  I've created a ring with separate arcs and each arc is clickable.  However, the clickable area around each is still rectangular and they overlap with each other a bit.

    Any help?  Thanks!

  • TMK,  The clickable area is the path of the object plus any textbox or graphic that may go outside the path.  You can create any path (i.e. using pen) and make that a button using Tools/Make Button...  hth.

  • How about for a checkbox?  Basically, I have a situation where I need to create a custom toggle, so I can't use the System Control.  In leveraging the Simple Checkbox, it's pretty easy, but I seem to get stuck with a rectangular click-area despite the odd shaped path that I just for it.
