CE 6.0 ram based registry needs 2 more seconds to boot then hive based RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

my OS needs 2 more seconds to boot (coldboot) after I switched from hive-based to ram-based registry.

I wonder why it takes so long, especially since ReadRegData in OEMregistry only needs 100ms.

Is this normal or have I configured something wrong?

I only changed sysgen_fsreghive to sysgen_fsregram and cloned OEMregistry.

    Regards,

    John

  • Did you do the required clean sysgen after switching?

  • Well, sort of. I made a complete rebuild after changing.

  • I did a rebuild solution.

    --- edit ----

But basically this means, there is somethings wrong.

Here is a little Info about my system.

    It's a 532MHz MipsIV with NOR flash.

Busenum loads the first driver at 1.4s with hive reg and at 3.4s with ram reg.
