  • Date/Time picker are not explicit controls for Windows.UI.Xaml in this release.  You would have to make them or get from 3rd party.

  • I'm sure a few will have them...here is an example: http://www.telerik.com/products/windows-metro/overview.aspx

  • What is meant by "ListPicker" -- there is ListView, ListBox, etc. -- are you talking about the phone's long list selector?  If so, the concept of SemanticZoom would apply here.  See the samples on that.

  • There is not a lot of data entry-driven apps in the marketplace right now.  I think some guidance on form layouts will likely come.

  • Hi Tim,

    Thanks for your answers!

Yes, this is exactly what I am referring to (Windows Phone ListPicker). I have a Windows Phone application (C# & XAML) which I am going to convert to Windows 8. I am using the Windows Phone ListPicker extensively in this application and I am trying to find out what would be the fastest, easiest & cleanest way to convert the application to Windows 8.

My application has a lot of user data entry pages. Do you know of a good example for a data entry type of application?

    Thanks again,
    EitanB
