  • Question

  • usually on windows 7 after installing any s/w if restart is required. i will do my work as usually and shutdown it, so the next time i start my system it is considered as a restart..  do this work on windows dev. preview as restart and shutdown are different,

  • this is normal shutdown process used in windows developer preview which is called hybrid boot and this does not closes the system completely..

i like hybrid boot very much.... but i need a technique to shutdown the operating system completely without using restart

What does the  /FULL  parameter do then?

  • Take a look at the following BLOG post.  I normally use Option #2, shutting it down from the Power icon in the Settings menu.

  • You can disable Hybrid boot from the Power Options settings in Control Panel.  Disabling it will prevent the system from saving the temporary settings that make startup faster.
