Whatever i have searched on the net , i have found that sky drive pro is used for this purpose.

Hi.
Skydrive is a free cloudbased service that is available to everyone with a live account or equal.
Skydrive pro is a licensed service that is, as far as I know, included in most of the Office 365/SharePoint online levels and should also be available as an extra service to onprem SharePoint installations, but Skydrive pro is not free and I do not Think that it is or will be included oob in any SharePoint server onprem license.Regards

Hi ,
Thanks for the reply.
So in order to have Skydrive link at the top of the ribbon , I need to install
Skydrive pro in my server or is it a site feature or a site collection feature which has to be active to get that link..Cause i tried every option given in the features section...i doesnt seem to show?..I have to check whether sky drive pro is installed or not.
..Right now i am working on a team site..whatever i have searched on the net..shows the links in the personal page or a my site.Is it something that can only be seen only in a my site?
Any help on this issue would be great....

Hi.
The feature to synch between SharePoint and Skydrive pro will be part of Office 365 as well as SharePoint 2013 onpremise, at least according to this statement from Microsoft Corporate Vice President of SharePoint Jeff Teper:
Microsoft's next SharePoint gets new features, including SkyDrive Pro
http://www.zdnet.com/microsofts-next-sharepoint-gets-new-features-including-skydrive-pro-7000001080/and if you look at how it is implemented in Office 365, the synch option is available in a team site as well:
However, noteworthy in this case is that SharePoint 2013 and Office 365(2013) has not been released as Generally available yet, all Components are not out and some things remains to be seen. Most likely, the SharePoint 2013 onprem/Skydrive pro implementation has yet to be revealed?
Same goes for other Components like Language packs, SDK's and such that are available only on Technet/MSDN or as beta/preview versions.
Wait until GA and it shall all be made clear(at least I hope so)
Hope that helps?
