RAID Drivers for Windows Server 2008 R2 Custom Install Disk RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I have been attempting to create a custom Windows Server 2008 R2 installation disk that contains the RAID drivers for an IBM x3550. I tried using DISM to add the drivers, and they appear to be successfully added, but then when I run the disk to install Windows, the RAID is not visible as a destination for the files. The RAID was configured correctly, as when I add the drivers from a USB stick, the RAID shows up and Windows can continue installation. All of the device drivers that I added with DISM show up correctly once Windows is installed, so I am pretty sure they are there.

I am assuming that I am missing a step when using WAIK and DISM to add the drivers. Does anyone know what I need to do to add the drivers so Windows can see the RAID as an available volume during installation? Any help would be appreciated.
