How to display a message when model changes RRS feed

    Hi there,

    When I'm modifying model, the live web application goes down because both the live and development machines use the live database. So to display a message to users that we are making some changes I added the following in the web.config file of the live application.

    <system.web>
    	<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="sorry.html"/>
    </system.web>

    But I noticed that unless I press F5 in the browser a couple of times, I don't see sorry.html page.  I just see default message.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Hi joegreen2005,

    The code is fine and standard.

    But I noticed that unless I press F5 in the browser a couple of times, I don't see sorry.html page.  I just see default message.

    By this, do you mean that you CAN see the sorry page but to see it you have to keep pressing F5 to refresh the current page for a while?

    This sounds strange, are you sure that you are testing this on a client machine? since the mode was set to RemoteOnly. Or this could be related to the network.

    You can check Displaying a Custom Error Page for more useful information.
