  • Any way to manually insert windows media center into Windows 8?
    It is highly missed as i have a windows media center remote yet now it has of no use in windows 8 (particularly for Netflix)

  • No, it's not included, an can't be added.

    Not all the features are included in the Developer Preview.

     

    From the Building Windows 8 blog:

    NOTE: The preview build does not include every feature shown this morning.  Shown but not in the Developer Preview release include the Windows Store, Windows Live Metro style apps, and some of the user interface features.  The focus of the preview is the API and development tools for building Metro style apps.

  • It's not included in the developer preview, but it WILL be in the release.  Whether it will be available or not in beta, I do not know.

    In theory, you could copy-paste the ehome folder from 7, but it is so totally not recommended as we don't know what dependencies lie in that folder.  I'd say download XBMC or Boxee in the meantime and use your remote for that :)
