Excel chart.dll crashes when (chart object)_MouseDown event procedure is called and (chart object).ProtectSelection = True RRS feed

  • I created a class module to handle events from embedded chart objects.  If the chart.ProtectSelection property is set true before the first time the _MouseDown event is called then chart.dll causes Excel to crash.  Crash dump copied below;
