How to download help documentation for Visual Studio on an offline machine?

    Question

  • I have a development machine that is on an air-gapped network. I want to install the msdn help documentation on my development machine but can't find any resources on how to do it. Everything I've found assumes that at some point I can connect my machine to the internet, download the documentation and then access it offline. I need to download it on an internet connected machine (without VS) and transfer them to my development machine. So where can I find these files to download. I see on MSDN there is a way to export certain help files, but it is limited to 200 pages per export which is not sufficient for trying to download all of the .NET help docs.
