Trouble with Categories in Expression Blend Collection Editor RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have created custom controls that are part of a collection for another custom control.

On their own in Expression Blend the controls properly show their custom categories and properties however when part of a collection and opened in a collection editor all of the custom properties are grouped under the first custom category and the remaining custom categories are not shown. The standard categories still show up fine i.e. brushes, appearance, common properties etc. The controls are built on the 4.0 framework. and I am using Expression Blend 4.0

BTW - this problem is not exhibited when using the controls in Visual Studio.

Has anyone else experienced this and is there a solution?

    Thanks for your help.

  • Hi

if you add your custom control by code once a time and build, you can see it in the categories.
