Power button does nothing RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've got an odd problem - the power button on my system does nothing. I'm using winlogon, the explorer shell, have the ACPI Multiprocessor PC macro component in my image as well as the ACPI Power button. I have no unresolved dependencies in my image and in the Power Options control panel I have specified that when I press the power button the system should shut down.

Yet, a momentary press of the power button does nothing at all.

If I boot the system into XP Pro the button works as expected.

    Does anyone have any insight?

  • There might be a missing component. Can you try a Full XP Pro like image and see if it works? If it works you will have to compare the two SLX files to find the missing component.

  • There are a few ACPI components.. just add them all.

    ACPI Power Button

ACPI Sleep Button and so on or something similar.

Seach for ACPI than you will find about 5-8 components or so.
