Show loader snaps does not display all the loading and unloading information in Win XP SP2 x64. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am using the Windows debugger tools on Win XP SP2 x64. Enabling "show loader snaps" using gflags does not display all of the loading and unloading information when launching an application. I can however see the  information using Process Monitor when launching the application outside of the debugger. Is there anything different to be done with "show loader snaps" in XP x64 SP2 as opposed to 32 bit XP SP3 or Win 7?

    To explain further:

    I see,

    ModLoad: 00000000`76920000 00000000`769e2000   C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\userenv.dll

for a dll loading when using show loader snaps, but I do not see the function that loads the dll, or check whether it is a result of direct loading or implicit loading. Also, to check whether it was immediately redirected to the Windows System32 directory or whether it iterated through the directory search path to resolve the dll.
