BackgroundDownloadAsync broken on Windows 10 on desktop and beginning with 10080 on phone RRS feed

  • Question

  • LiveConnectClient.BackgroundDownloadAsync always fails with a file not found error on current Windows 10 builds on desktop and phone. The very same code works fine on Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 as well as Windows 10 Mobile before 10080. The file is present, the user logs in ok, BackgroundUploadAsync, etc., all still work. Is there a workaround for this issue?

Because the problem is only on Windows 10, I assume Windows 10 is at fault somehow and not Live, but I have hundreds of thousands of users of my apps that rely on OneDrive download and some of them are using Windows 10.

    Thanks for any help.
