How we can check MS word is busy or Not through VB.net Code RRS feed

  • Dear All,

    I am openning a word document file through VB.net code , I want to check Word is busy or not before creating a new template. busy in the sence any diolog box is open in MS word. If any diolog box is open is MS word , then it will consider as MS word is busy.

    Please provide me any link any code it will be very great favour for me.

    Please help me , I am at very tight dead line of project.

  • Hi Rangile,

    As far as I know there's no way to test if Word is busy. In some sense you'd like to treat Word as a multi-threaded application, whereby the main thread waits until Word is free to carry out another task (e.g. creating a new template).

    There's a workaround, though. See this article and search the forum for IMessageFilter.
