Windows Phone Toolkit RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm still a new coder and felt like trying my hand at building a Windows Phone 7.1 app.

The problem I seem to be stuck with is: while tyring out examples and solutions to creating a splash screen I find that they all make use of the Microsoft.Phone.Controls.Toolkit.dll reference to add the XAML code toolkit: PreformanceProgressBar.

Now for the problem; despite downloading the windows phone toolkit (yada yada) and adding the refrence Microsoft.Phone.Con... I am still unable to use the toolkit in my XAML code. What am I missing?

    Error listed below:

Error 1 The type 'toolkit:PreformanceProgressBar' was not found. Verify that you are not missing an assembly reference and that all referenced assemblies have been built. E:\WP7 Apps\Magic Life\Magic Life\MainPage.xaml 101 6 Magic Life

Also for background I am following the example layed out here: http://www.windowsphonegeek.com/articles/All-about-Splash-Screens-in-WP7-ndash-Creating-animated-Splash-Screen

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated =)
