Same here on a Gateway EC1803h netbook. I'd say just a general bug because this is such an early build.
There are other issues like the fact it wouldn't let me adjust brightness until I installed Intel's drivers. However, after a reboot I'm unable to adjust brightness again. Disabling and enabling the video adapter fixes this.
