Enable Virtual Host Name

Dears,

I am confused with below issue:

I have deployed FTP based on Windows Server 2012 R2 IIS Role, I created my first FTP Site and I assigned settings like this:

• IP Address: 192.168.10.51
• Port: 21
• Enable Virtual Host Names: FTP.MyDomainName.com

When I am trying to connect from a PC on my network, I get failed... when I remove the "Enable Virtual Host Names" I can connect successfully....

So how to solve this problem?

Your user name at login must be changed, or you simply won't be able to log in,

Hi,

For virtual host name, an FTP client would need to specify its login credentials by using the pipe (vertical line) character with syntax like "ftp.contoso.com|username".
