Hosting on GoDaddy. Got it installed. Created my account. Set Role = Admin. Tried to login using my new username/paswd. Always get this message. Saw many Google posts elsewhere but no solution. Using GoDaddy windows acct with SQL.

Site is musicvisions.com. I'm just starting on it.

    Help greatly appreciated.

     Thanks

If your app is in a web farm which I guess s the case, make sure you use the same machine key across the different servers. You can do this by setting the machine key in the web.config

I hosting on GoDaddy.com, so have no control over the machine.

Also, in web.config I saw no machine key.

     Any other ideas?

I expect anyone hosting on GoDaddy would have this problem.

    Thanks much

Absence of the machine key is usually the reason for this kind of problem

Since web.config is a part of your application, you should be able to put in the machine key

see this on how to do so
