A file copy operation fails when files or folders have long paths in windows Server 2012 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, everyone

I actually have a problem when i do copy for a specific file with a long name in windows server 2012 into another folder.
So when I checked on the net, I found a different way to fix it, like downloading the Update Windows Server 2012 R2 (KB2919355) but it didn't work.

I found also another way like in gpedit.msc to enable a long path, but this functionality worked only with windows server 2016 ad windows 2010.

Can I find a different way to fix this problem by parametring the Local Group Policy Editor or Registry Editor without passing by a downloading.
