Bootable Windows USB Stack RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I've just installed WES7 SP1 on a SD card. With "Bootable Windows USB Stack" and "SD Boot" packages everything went smoothly and I'm able to boot from it into Windows. The only problem is that when I try to boot it with some USB devices connected (like e.g. keyboard, mouse, not-bootable usb drive) Windows crashes everytime ending up with a bluescreen. If I unplug the devices and plug them back after booting (e.g. when desktop shows up) everything is fine.

Have I done something wrong, or is it just the "Bootable Windows USB Stack" which doesn't enable any not-bootable devices to be connected while booting?

One more thing: I've reproduced this error on 3 different devices (small netbook, a laptop and a OEM hardware).

    Please help!

  • Interessting. I know such behavior only from USB Boot with XPe which are/were HAL related. Did you try another SD Card (but i think this won't make any difference.)
"Mark/Propose As Answer" if you got one.
