IgnoreHWSerNum cann't work in usb3.0 on win7 RRS feed

  • Question

  •  IgnoreHWSerNum cann't work in usb3.0 on win7 because the USB3 ports are controlled by custom driver stacks which might not honor any of the registry keys defined by Microsoft. Though it can be resolved by upgrade to win8, but I need work on win7. I have been searching the solution for one week. Any help will be appreciate! Thanks!

  • there is no magic here. the driver has to have a supported way to do this, the OS itself can't
