How to make all references show up in a template? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello.  I created a reference and I use it in most of my projects.  I am
    currently making a template of a project that uses this reference.  When I
    export the template my reference is missing and a bunch of errors occur because
    of the lack of this reference.  How can I make it so when I export this project
    it still includes the reference I created?

    Thanks!

  • Hi RSKWare,

    I also can reproduce this issue.

    You can try to perform the following steps to fix this issue.

    1. Add your reference to your project:
    2. Add your reference file as an item to your project;

    As the VS will copy all your items when you export your project, but it will not copy your reference, that is why your template doesn’t contain all your reference.

    Best regards,

    Lucy

    Right-click your project in the solution explorer.
    Select Add->Existing Item;
