  • Question

  • Hi,

when we edit a publishing page using the page editing tool bar, the editing tool bar kept shown for other users of our site. Is there a way to hide the editing tool bar for those who have only read permissions while the page is being edited (checked out) ?

  • Hi,

If the user has READ permission he / she will definitely not get "Page Editing Tool bar" once anybody checked out it for editing.

If your READ users are still getting that option available, stop inhering permissions from the parent site and add them explicitly to the page by giving item level permissions
