ReportViewer - drilldown (+) clicked - can I get the click of the drilldown and store which (+) is clicked? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Just like my question....

I have a reportviewer control (remote processing) that I want to capture the user click of the drilldown (+) on the ssrs report. I tried the drillthrough event but it is not getting called.  The reason why I want to capture this event is to get the selected drilldown node.

I've seen posts where people have been successful with getting the drillthrough event with local processing but the event isn't fired for remote processing.

    Any ideas?

  • So here's our idea. we're gong to trap the value in ssrs report and via a hyperlink pass those values to the reportviewer and I keep track of it.

In our "history" i pass that value back as a parameter list for refresh report, the ssrs report picks up that value and then we have methods in the ssrs that will find the selected value and then loop through the drilldown node and then expand or collapse it when necessary.
