suppress message shown on outlook appointment close RRS feed

  • Hi 

    We are using outlook plugin.In this i want, on close of (click of X) appointment it should not give message "want to save changes?" and it should discard all changes.

    Example : Go to calendar start creating booking  9am to 10 am add title & location on click of X it should close and discard changes (should not create appointment or modify )   also should not show message box "want to save changes?"

    Kindly help

    we want to discard changes which we have made so we should not get "want to save changes" message.

  • It will close appointment but i did not want close by Code .  Discard should happen on click of X close button of appointment

    you can try to use AppointmentItem.Close Method and AppointmentItem.Close event.

    it have one parameter called SaveMode.

    by setting this parameter you can discard the changes and close it.

    AppointmentItem appointmentItem = (AppointmentItem)this.inspector.CurrentItem;
    ItemEvents_10_Event appointmentItemEvent = (ItemEvents_10_Event)this.inspector.CurrentItem;
    appointmentItemEvent.Close += new ItemEvents_10_CloseEventHandler(appointmentItem_Close);
    private void appointmentItem_Close(ref bool Cancel)
        // handle appointment item close event
