  • Hi,

    From a high level the scenario is as follows

    1. Users from each department submit individual documents containing the schedule of each department.
    2. The system should collect each individual document and produce a summarized document containing the schedules of all the departments.  The initial summarization process should be automated but the main user can change this manually. 
    3. Once the summarized document is created the system should distribute this (through email or some other means) to each individual department.
    4. For both step 1 and step 2 the interface should be web based.

    My questions are as follows
    1.  What kind of tools/technologies can I use for this scheduling process?
    2.  Can SharePoint 2007 be used for this in some manner?
    3.  Are there any tools out there that I can use to get this done or already does this?
