  • We have created parent chilled hierarchy in out dimension. But we have data for each chilled ID in the Dimension database. To get the Individual data without getting data aggregated I Used “.DATAMEMBER” function.

  • Thanks Jerry, Darren & Ram I found the solution.

.DataMember Is working...... In my case I just change the my MDX Query. So Now I get the Top Level Parent Individual data. Once again thanks Jerry, Darren & Ram for your reply.

  • Hi Suhas,

Please could you provide more information? What is the expected result and what is the result you are getting?  Also if you can post your current MDX query?

    Thanks,

    Ram

  • Hi Ram THanks for reply, you can get more details on below Link.... The acendant Parent not geting data with below solution. But we have data for acendant member. Means Top Level Member(Parent Of all member).

  • Hi Suhas,

If i understand correctly, you want to show the leaf data instead of aggregated data of any member from the parent-child hierarchy on your report. If so, you have to get the leaf members for any member being passed into like this:

    Descendants([ParentChildHierarchy].currentmember,,Leaves)

the above expression can return the set of leaf descendants of a member at any level. Then, you could use the set to list their fact data on your report.

See http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms146075.aspx for more details about the descendants mdx function.

    Hope this helpfully,

    thanks,
    Jerry

  • The default ALL member will not have a .DataMember. If you only have one member at the top of your p/c hierarchy you could turn off the automatic ALL member by setting the IsAggregatable property of the dimension to false.
