Moving on to Javascript RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I have written a short course in programming in Javascript for SB programmers. It introduces basic programming in JS and graphics programming similar to SB. If you are reasonably confident in your SB skills you can easily move on to Javascript and program for the web. You can find the course here:

  • BtW, the framework used by his JS tutorial is called p5.js, which is based on another framework called Processing: p5js.org

  • This is correct, P5 is used for the basic graphics functions (as it says in the tutorial) but I've also written a small library to add an object-oriented layer that will make creating shapes more like in SB.

If you are already familiar with JS, and you are interested in graphics programming, P5 is worth looking at.
