Connect to SQL Azure Database RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am building a Windows Phone 7 application that is to pull live data off of an SQL Azure database. First, how can I get the application to access the database and Second, then bind a ListBox to the data so it will display it in real time? The ability to have the data continually update so it will show live as I update it would be appreciated, but is not a necessary function. I am using Visual Studio Professional to build my application but I also have access to Expression Blend 4 if needed.

  • Thank you for your response. I am currently trying these options out and will let you know if either work. So far I ran into a problem in the first one, generating the proxy class for DataSvcUtil.exe. If you have experience with this and would like to help, it would be appreciated!

  • I am currently in the process of creating my WCF service. I also would like to know if this will also work for a Windows Desktop application, or WPF project.
