LanIdentifier: what do I need to enable to get any info about it? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello guys.

What do I need to do to get any value from the networkInformation.getLanIdentifiers method to return anything useful? I've tried running the network information app from a pc and a laptop and it never returns any LanIdentifier objects.

  • Hello Robin.

Are you talking about the netwok location service? If that is it, then it's running in all my machines (I've checked it in the services applet before asking the question. Btw, I've run the sample you  mention and it still returns 0 laidentifiers objects.

That's why I asked what needed to be done to get it return any info.
