SDK Package: How does packages relate to AppDomains? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi!

I'm looking for information on how Visual Studio loads/creates VsPackages, and more specifically, how packages relates to AppDomains in the Visual Studio process.

Any commenting or pointers to resources discussing this are highly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Regards,

  • Currently, Visual Studio will load all the packages in the default App Domain. It doesn't do any App Domain partitioning of the packages.

I ran some tests yesterday and noticed my package was loaded in the default domain, so I suspected this was the case. But thanks a lot for verifying this was the case!
