Itemizing custom lists in specific groups... RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am working on a project where I have certain tasks listed for week 1, another group of tasks for week 2, and so on. I've generated the custom lists, but I would like to group them accordingly.

Is there a way to do this?

  • Hi Jared,

Are the week numbers entered in a dedicated column? If so, you can do this easily. From the list's main page, select the Settings drop down from the list's menu bar, then List Settings (or something similar).

Next, scroll down to Views and select one or create a new one. Somewhere around the 6th section on the page is entitled Group By.

    Best wishes,

    Eric

  • HI,

This is very easy to do. Create a column such as "Week".

Enter the values as 1,2, etc. Now go to list settings--> view settings.

Here you will find group by settings. Select the column you selected and thats it.

I hope this will help you out.

    Thanks, Rahul Rashu
