Outlook Custom Forms - Calendar for Public folders RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello

I am a newbie to Custom Forms in Outlook.  What I am trying to accomplish, is create a form and if possible add to the Appointment form already established by Outlook.

What I was able to do: Created a custom form with the subject, date, judge, type of event and misc. info area.

I was able to publish the test form in our Public folders and access it.  The issue I am having is one, I can't get the radio buttons or a checkbox to retain the information once it is populated.  And second, how to retrieve a blank form for required users to access without having to access the developers tab to open the form and work in it and save it to the calendar.

If possible, is there a way to link contacts to this custom form as well?

Any information or direction would be extremely helpful.

    thanks

  • Hi Annette31,

Form will not keep any information. You need to save it somewhere if you want to use it in future.

You need to develop your custom logic to save this data.

Other thing you had asked,"how to retrieve a blank form for required users to access without having to access the developers tab"

You can follow the path below.

Home -> New Items -> More Items -> Choose Form -> Select the desired form.

You had asked,"If possible, is there a way to link contacts to this custom form as well? "

When you run the form , From insert tab, You can insert contact as an Outlook Item.
