Can a exchange 2003 user be delegate for a exchange 2007 user RRS feed

  • Question

  • There is a user user1 whose mailbox seems to be on exchange 2007 server

(I am assuming it because user1 is not able to access the folders on his mailbox as "https://echangeserver/exchange/user1/calendar" but is able to access as

"https://smtpmailboxserver/owa/user1@test.com/?cmd=contents&module=calendar". And as per some articles that i read, 2007 will be able to access as /owa and not /exchange. Would like to confirm this too.)

From outlook, this user1 has given delegate permissions to another user appuser whose mailbox is on exchange 2003 server.

I would like to know if there will be any issues due to this? Will appuser(Exchange 2003) have all the delegate permissions on user1's(exchange 2007) mailbox?

I am not able to access "https://smtpmailboxserver/owa/user1@test.com/?cmd=contents&module=calendar" with appuser's credentials.
