    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
        <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.

  • Is this an application that you have written?  Or is this some 3rd party application that is running when the machine starts up and you get this problem each time you restart it?

    Looking at the stack trace, it looks as if it is caused by the EXEcutable:

    ----------------------------------------
    TheAgent
        Assembly Version: 1.0.0.0
        Win32 Version: 1.0.0.0
        CodeBase: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Bully%20Dog%20Technologies/The%20Update%20Agent/TheAgent.exe
    ----------------------------------------

    Which may have came from...

    http://www.bullydog.com/pages/page/download_update_agent

    Which looks like an error in their application if they have written it...

    Which is an invalid cast exceptio (error)...

    System.InvalidCastException: Unable to cast object of type 'System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException' to type 'System.Net.Sockets.SocketException'.

    If so just I'd log a support call on their web site not the MSDN one.

  • Thank you for Andez's kindly help.

    Hi Wish I new more,

    Based on your description, it might be hard to troubleshoot this issue since there would be many causes. As Andez mentioned, it might be caused by some application when you run your PC.

    However, to narrow down the possible cause of corrupted .NET Framework, we can try Verification tool to verify .NET Frameworks on your machine.
    You also can try the following point to deal with the case:
    - Reboot the machine into Safe Mode. Do you still have the problem? This can isolate some third party application/driver's interference.

    If you don't want to see Just-In-Time Debugging dialog box when you start your PC, you can just simply turn off this feature.
    Please see:  How to: Enable/Disable Just-In-Time Debugging

    Hope this helps. If you have any concern, please feel free to let me know.

    Best regards,
    Yichun Chen
