  • Question

  • Hi,

How to freeze the column header in excel after export from report 2015. I can able to freeze the header in report(data region) level but unable to do it same in excel after export.

Is this possible in 2015 visual studio or not?

    Thanks

  • Hi NameMSDN,

As I know, when you export report to Excel, the fixed column header won’t work in Excel. It is default, so it is impossible in VS 2015.

On workaround is that you could add a Page Header, then add column header in text boxes in Page Header, and hide the headers in Tablix. You can refer to Freeze Excel Column Header for details.

In addition, you also could achieve it in Excel. You could put Tablix in left top corner of report body like below

Then you export report to Excel, and set Freeze Top Row in Excel

You will get the result below

  • Hi Zoe,

I have tried this below workaround. But it's not worked for me.

Workaround: Add a Page Header, then add column header in text boxes in Page Header, and hide the headers in Table.

    Thanks

  • Hi NameMSDN,

Then below workaround is works well in my test environment( Excel 2016). And you need to make sure the Header need to be the First Row in Excel after exporting.

By the way, you also could use the above workaround.
