Data Warehouse Pause via ADF v2 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello Team,

    https://zenatti.net/2018/04/02/using-azure-data-factory-v2-to-pause-and-resume-azure-sql-data-warehouse/

This was the reference that we used to check the status of ADW via Logic app and we reciprocated the HHTPS logic of logic app via ADF v2 web activity only(without using Logic app).

So the status check for ADW was successful but the same logic of Logic app we tried to incorporate for ADW pause/resume logic but found the below discrepancy:

    ADF v2:

There is no input for Body in logic app for POST operation for resume/pause but the same is required for web activity for ADF v2.

So can any one suggest what should be the Body value in ADF v2 to pause/resume ADW via REST API

  • Hi Nandan,

Body is not a required field. URL, Method, and Header values are required. Are you not able to save and move forward with the configuration?

You can see that both Pause and Resume do not have any properties to pass.

  • Hello Mike,

Since we are using POST method for Resume, I am not able to publish the ADF because I am getting the error:

A valid body is required for POST request as shown above.

But the same URL and access token is working properly in Logic app without any body for POST operation only.

So any reason why ADF is not able to configure the same configurations?

  • This is a bug with ADFv2! Do you have a support plan? Please log a bug with Azure support. If you do not have an Azure Support Plan, please send your Subscription ID to AzCommunity and instructions will be returned to you to have a Support Request created to look at this.

    Thanks!
