Open from database A a form into database B into database A window RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello everyone,

I use Microsoft Office 2010 (but i can upgrade to 2013 or 2016 if needed)

    I need to:

    1) open database A (.accdb)
    2) Open a menù from which i have a command to open a form saved into database B (.accdb)

What i have developed till now opens 2 Microsoft Access Windows: one window for database A (with menu) and one window for database B (with the form i want to open).

Instead i need to view the form from database B into database A main window and i don't want to see database B window.

In other words i'd like to view the form like if it was saved into database A.

Database B is used like a library of forms but all forms opened should reside into database A main window.
Is it possible ? How ?

    Thanks in advance
    Gianluca

  • Hi Gianluca,

From the VBA IDE, click on the Tools menu and select References. In the References window, add database B as a new reference.

  • Hi,

Have you tried adding database B in the References window of database A?
