Infinite Loops RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everyone,

I was experimenting with loops and I created an infinite loop. However, the IDE didn't execute the code that would've initiated the loop. I wanted to ask does the IDE or Visual C# have prevention measures for such loops?

    Thanks

  • No, the Visual Studio IDE does not have a feature to help find this kind of problem in your code.

Note that it is known, in general, that it is not even possible to detect this with total accuracy.  (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halting_problem)

  • Thanks BinaryCoder! Oh and btw our display names are pretty much the same. Convert the binary in mine to text to find out. Thought it's a funny coincidence.
